Black Boar Imperial Oatmeal Stout

The White Hag

This is the grand daddy of all stouts. Originally brewed to high gravity and hopping level in England for export to the Baltic States and Russia. Said to be popular with the Russian Imperial Court, in particular, Catherine the Great of Russia.

The Black Boar Imperial Oatmeal Stout is intensely flavoured, bold, dark ale. Roasty, fruity, and bittersweet with noticeable alcohol warmth. Dark fruit flavours meld with treacle, coffee, and dark chocolate notes to create a very full-bodied and velvety, luscious texture.

Rich and intensely complex flavors of chocolate, Roasted malts, and robust coffee. Full-bodied, with medium carbonation, finishing with a mellow alcohol warmth.

Goes well with Roast Beef, Lamb, Smoked Goose, Long-aged Cheeses, Gouda and Cheddar and ideally served at 10°C
