Boyne Brewhouse

Drogheda, Co. Meath

Boyne Brewhouse is located in the heart of the Boyne valley in Drogheda, County Meath. Boann is the Irish goddess of the River Boyne. She created the river which runs through the heart of this ancient land and she is also their namesake. The River Boyne has been known since ancient times and despite its short course, it has huge historical, archaeological and mythical importance, all of which are deeply engrained in Irish culture. According to legend Boann was also the wife of Nechtan, then leader of the Tuatha dé Danann, one of the ancient ruling tribes of Ireland and it is from here we draw many of the stories that inspire the names of our beers.

With a three vessel 35HL Kaspar Schulz brewhouse at its heart and using traditional brewing methods, Boyne Brewhouse use only the finest raw materials and Boyne Valley well water in all of our beers. The brewhouse has dual mash conversion/kettle with a separate lauter tun and whirlpool, plus average ferments of eight days and conditioning times of 14 - 21 days.

The Brewery bottle, can and keg all beers in-house on the most sophisticated independently owned packaging lines in Ireland, to ensure consistency and the highest quality standards.
